Update January 28, 2007

Taylor was in good spirits today. She was on her pacer for 12 hours and doing very well. The doctors hope that by the end of the week she will be breathing without her ventilator. After she transitions to the pacer full time the doctors will change out Taylor's tracheotomy and replace it with an infant tracheotomy. They will put a cap on the tracheotomy in case there is ever a need for it.

Taylor has been sitting up in her stroller a lot lately. The other day she was in her stroller from nine hours. She went down to the activities area on the second floor. The second floor is full of activities for the kids, including painting, beading, games, movies, and cooking. She made a necklace and cookies today. Taylor gets to interact with other children in the activities area.

Taylor is excited about celebrating her mom's birthday tomorrow.

Hi Taylor and family,
My name is gayle and I live in Quincy. I am friends with Jenay Champlin and her son Jace. We have been keeping tabs on you. I am glad you are in such a wonderful place. I hear the nurses there are like angels.
To you little mother, My heart goes out to you .I know what what you are going through because my daughter was paralyzed almost 7 years ago. Her injury is not as severe as Taylors but she is in the chair as well.I can give you the gift of hope and know that there is something wonderful that will come into your life because of what had happened. I am not a religious person but I have found that there is definitly something greater then us and there is a light at he end of the tunnel. I am not going to say it has been easy but I can say what an incredible experience it has been. My Abigail is back on her horse and continuing life, some days are eaiser then others but she is here and loving life..If you ever want to talk you can call me anytime or you can email me as well your call. Just know that I have been holding you up and will continue to do so . I would like to come visit you and Taylor when it is o.k. with you . take care and love to you both.

Hello again from Klamath Falls. So glad to hear how well you are doing. Tommy and I think about you and your family often and check in with Grandpa Doug to get updates. We will be down in the Woodland area next week and hope to be able to come and see you in your new digs. Tell Walter "hi" and that we are coming down to see him, to make sure he is behaving!

Happy birthday Tammy. Eat lots of cake and ice cream. You deserve it!

Hey Girlfriend,
You are doing so well! Don and I are so proud of you. I'm so glad you are getting out of your room to play. When I come again I want you to show me all around. I can't wait. I have a cold so I'll have to wait until next weekend. I'll call your mom to let her know when I will come. The kids in my class always ask about you. I tell them how brave you are and how hard you work. Your toys and your bed are still waiting for you! We love you,
Judy
